Social events (College dinners)
Children under the age of 16 are regrettably not permitted to attend College dinners.
If you require a refund, please request this a minimum of 7 days before the event using the contact details below. After this period, unfortunately tickets are non-refundable.

Events (courses and conferences)
You can pay online using a credit/debit card via our website on the individual event pages, which you can access from the events calendar. Places booked via telephone may be paid by credit/debit card or invoice. Payment from abroad should be by international bankers draft or money order in sterling. Payment in other currencies will not be accepted. We can not accept post-dated cheques.
We regret we cannot accept payment by American Express or Visa Electron.
If you register on the day of the meeting, please note we can only accept payment by cash or credit/debit card (no cheques).
All fees must be paid in full before the meeting. The RCOG reserves the right to refuse admission in the event of non-payment.
Requesting an invoice
To request an invoice, complete the event booking form, which can be found on the event page, and send it to us together with a letter from your organisation stating that they are happy to be invoiced for the payment. This letter should contain the following information and will only be accepted if it is on official headed paper:
- Purchase order number
- Name of event
- Name of delegate attending the event
- The total amount to be invoiced for
- Name, address, telephone and email of the person the invoice should be sent to
Both of the above items should be either emailed to the Events Administrator (details can be found on the event page) or posted to RCOG Events Team, 10-18 Union Street, London SE1 1SZ.
Please note: We are unable to accept invoice requests in the 6 weeks before the event because of the time it takes to process invoices. All invoices must be paid by the event date in order for the delegate to attend. If we haven’t received payment by this date, the delegate will be asked for payment on arrival at the College.
Alternatively, if your trust has a credit card, payment can be made via this method by the credit card holder contacting the Events Team on +44 (0)20 7772 6245 with the following information:
- Name of event
- Name of delegate(s) attending the event
Confirmation of your booking
Booking online provides you with immediate confirmation of your place and receipt of payment by email. Places booked by telephone will be confirmed within 14 days of receipt of payment. You are not guaranteed a place until you receive this confirmation.
If you haven’t received confirmation of your place before the start of the event, please call the Events Team on +44 20 7772 6245.
All cancellations must be received in writing. It is the responsibility of the delegate to ensure the Events Team has received the written cancellation a minimum of 2 weeks before the meeting (except Basic Practical Skills Courses, where cancellations must be received at least 6 weeks before the course).
A standard administrative charge of £25 will be made on all cancellations received up to 2 weeks before the conference. We regret that refunds cannot be issued on cancellations received less than 2 weeks before the conference.
No refund will be made for non-attendance
An administrative charge of £50 applies to certain meetings, including Basic Practical Skills Courses, MRCOG Part 1 Revision Courses, MRCOG Part 2 Revision and MRCOG Part 3 Practical Course. Please check your confirmation email for clarification. Substitutions are welcome at any time.
In the unlikely event the course is cancelled by the RCOG, we regret we are unable to refund any delegate travel and/or accommodation costs that have already been incurred by the delegate, or any administration charges relating to cancellation of travel tickets or accommodation.
If you’re from a country outside the European Union, you may be required to have a valid visa to enter Britain. Please check your visa requirements before you book a place on any of our events and before you travel. We’re unable to refund course fees outside of our cancellation deadline in the event that your visa is denied or not received in time for you to travel. More information on visa requirements is available from the UK Border Agency.
Continuing professional development (CPD)
You may claim 1 CPD credit per hour of learning (excluding discussions and refreshment breaks). You can find information about the CPD entitlement for each meeting in the general information section of the relevant page on the website or printed brochure. We will provide certificates of attendance in an electronic format.
Data Protection Act
The details you provide on the booking form will be held and processed electronically in order to administer your registration. Your name, department, hospital name and town will be included on the list of participants that will be issued to delegates, speakers, sponsoring companies and other interested parties involved in the conference.
We will keep your contact details on record in order to inform you of future RCOG conferences and courses. If you do not wish your details to be used in this manner, please tick the appropriate boxes on the registration form.
Please be aware that a photographer may have been commissioned by the College to take photographs at some of our events.
These photographs may be included in the College’s educational, promotional and corporate publications and on our website. They may also be circulated in the media and be made available to other interested parties. If you have any questions, please contact a member of staff at the registration desk during the event you’re attending.
Retired RCOG Fellows and Members
Retired RCOG Fellows and Members are entitled to a 50% discount off the RCOG member rate registration fee (please state if you are retired at the time of booking). To qualify for the discount you must be registered as retired with the RCOG and must book with the Events Team over the phone or by post. If you need to update your status, please contact Membership Services.
