We look forward to welcoming Fellow Elects and their guests to our forthcoming Fellowship admission ceremonies. It is an occasion for the College to acknowledge and celebrate the many and continued contributions made by our members to the care of women globally. We will strive to ensure it is a memorable event for you.
Before the ceremony
Confirm your attendance
You must confirm whether or not you will be attending the Saturday 15 June 2019 ceremony by completing the following:
Please confirm your attendance by 5pm (UK time) on Tuesday 30 April 2019
Please pay your registration fee by 5pm (UK time) on Saturday 1 June 2019
Your completed forms must be returned and your membership fee paid by the deadline.
Otherwise your elevation to RCOG Fellowship will be deferred until the next Fellowship admission ceremony.
You will not be eligible to use the designatory letters FRCOG until your formal admission to Fellowship.
Unable to attend in person?
If you are residing outside the British Isles, or have circumstances which mean that you are unable to attend an admission ceremony in person, you can be admitted in absentia. Please select the "Fellowship Elevation - In Absentia" option on the online booking platform.
If you wish to update your booking at a later date please log into the online booking platform with your log on (email) and password which will be sent via email.
As a Fellow your annual membership fee will remain the same as the Member fee. However, before we are able to confirm your elevation to Fellowship, the College requires that any outstanding membership payments are settled in advance as well as payment of a Fellowship registration fee.
You can pay your fees online in my My payments of the website, or telephone our Finance Team on +44 (0) 207 772 6258/6310 (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm UK time) who take card payments over the phone.
You are required to wear a College gown for the ceremony, these will be supplied on the day by Ede & Ravenscroft. Fellows can save £5 on gown hire if you book online 21 days before the ceremony. Accredited photographers, provided by Success Photography, will be present on the day of the admission ceremony. We encourage members to submit an order online in advance of the ceremony via the Success Photography website.
The day of the admission ceremony
You are requested to arrive at least 1 hour before your scheduled ceremony in order to collect your gown, arrange photographs and enjoy your time at the College.
You will be called to be seated in the Nuffield Hall 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. It may not be possible to admit you if you are late.
It is imperative that you sit in your allocated seat, as this is the order in which you will be called up to receive your certificate.
During the ceremony each Fellow will be called to the main platform by a member of Council where they will be presented with their certificate by the President.
An ‘on the stage’ photograph will be taken of every new Fellow with the President during the Ceremony, which can be purchased direct from Success Photography.
All Fellows’ and their guests are warmly invited to attend a drinks and canapés reception in the Reception Hall following the ceremony.
College ties and insignia will be on sale in the reception foyer.
