Answers to frequently asked questions about our website
How do I sign in to the website?
All website users need to sign in to the website to book courses, exams and events and to update the details we hold on you. RCOG members also need to sign in to the website to access online benefits such as TOG, BJOG, StratOG and the CPD ePortfolio.
All RCOG Fellows, Members and Trainees will have a website account and will be able to sign in. To sign in to the website, click on the blue ‘Sign in’ button in the top right-hand corner of the page and enter your log-in details.
Your username is the email address you’ve designated as your main email address in the RCOG’s records (if you need a reminder of this email address, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call +44 20 7772 6225 – we’ll ask you a series of security questions so please have your College registration number ready).
If you’re an RCOG Fellow, Member or Trainee, your password would have originally been computer-generated, but you may have changed it since then. Please see below for what to do if you’ve forgotten your password.

How do I register on the website?
If you’re not an RCOG member, you can register with the site by completing the registration form.
Once you’ve registered, you’ll be able to access all content available to you and book courses, events and exams. To update the details we hold on you, make payments such as your registration fee, and access presentations and materials for any courses you’re booked on, click on the blue ‘My account’ button at the top of the page.
How do I change my username and password?
To change your username and password, sign in to the website using the blue ‘Sign in’ button and then go to ‘My account’. Click on ‘My details’ and you’ll then be able to update your username and password in the ‘Login’ section.
I’ve forgotten my password – what should I do?
If you’ve forgotten your password, please go to the forgotten password page and follow the instructions to reset your password. The password reset process works as follows:
- You’ll first need to enter your username (email address) and click ‘Reset password’
- You’ll then receive an automated email that contains a link to a dedicated, secure page on the RCOG website – click on the link in the email to access that page (please note that the link will only be active for 8 hours after you receive the email)
- For security reasons, we’ll then ask you to verify your email address – enter your email address, then click ‘Verify’
- Finally, click the blue ‘Complete password reset’ button – you’ll then receive an automated email with your new password, which you can use to sign in to the website
- Please note that your new password will be computer generated and we strongly advise that you immediately update your password to something more memorable – you can do this in the ‘My profile’ section of the site, under ‘My details’
Please note: for your security, the password reset process is now completely automated. RCOG staff do not have any access to website users’ passwords and will be unable to either tell you what your password is or reset your password for you.
I’ve forgotten my username – what should I do?
Your username is the email address in our records that you’ve indicated is your main email. If you can’t remember what this is, please email email@example.com or call +44 20 7772 6225, and we’ll be able to help you. Please have your College registration number ready – we’ll also ask you a series of security questions before letting you know your username.
The website isn’t displaying correctly – what should I do?
Our site supports the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer (IE) – version 8.0 or higher
- Chrome – latest version
- Safari – latest version
- Firefox – latest version
If you are working on an NHS computer which uses Internet Explorer version 6 or 7 (IE6 or IE7), you will experience problems accessing our website. Unfortunately, we are unable to support IE6 and IE7 owing to internet-wide security issues with these browers that affect our compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements, which control our ability to take payments online.
Therefore, to ensure our website displays correctly on your computer, please update your version of Internet Explorer to IE8 or above, or install an alternative browser, such as Chrome or Firefox. If you are working on an NHS computer, please ask your trust or hospital IT department for assistance.
