The RCOG introduced the annual National Trainer of the Year and the Trainee Trainer of the Year Awards to recognise the exceptional trainers across the UK who go above and beyond to support and educate our trainees.
Selection
Each deanery can nominate a Trainer and Trainee Trainer via their RCOG National Trainees’ Committee (NTC) representative. The winners and runners up are selected by the NTC executive team and the RCOG Vice President for Education following a review of all entries.
When
Nominations open in November annually, with the winners announced the following March.
Presentation of awards
Each winner is invited to an RCOG membership ceremony and dinner where they are presented with an award medal and certificate by the RCOG Vice President for Education. Travel and one night’s accommodation for the membership ceremony are covered by the College.
