Register on the RCOG's CPD programme

This page provides information about how to register on the RCOG’s continuing professional development (CPD) programme

All those registered on the RCOG CPD programme receive access to the CPD ePortfolio and ongoing support and advice from the CPD office.

Doctors have the responsibility, wherever they practise, always to remain competent and therefore up to date. If you wish to revalidate in the UK, it’s your responsibility to do enough appropriate CPD to remain up to date and fit to practise in your work and to be able to demonstrate this at your appraisal. This applies whether you are in full-time or less than full-time practice.

The RCOG recommends that doctors practising mainly in the area of obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G) or its subspecialties, in a non-training post, participate in the RCOG’s CPD programme. If you practise in a narrow field, you may prefer to select another CPD programme which most reflects your practice.

If you practise O&G outside the UK, you’re welcome to join the RCOG’s CPD programme. You must be a Member of the College to participate in our CPD programme.
