*Important update on Part 1 & 2 exam fees for candidates in India

We wish to inform candidates planning to sit the MRCOG Part 1 and Part 2 examinations in India about an upcoming change in exam fees due to new Indian tax regulations. Starting from January 2025, a Goods and Services Tax (GST) mandated by the Indian tax authority will be applied to our examination fees. For 2025 this will add £103 to the standard £572 fee, resulting in a total cost of £675 for any candidate sitting their Part 1 or Part 2 exam in India. The RCOG is required to collect this tax and remit it in full to the Indian tax authorities.

Please note that the MRCOG Part 3 examination fees will not be affected by this change.

Please understand that this change is a direct result of the Indian tax authority's regulations and not a decision made by the RCOG. Despite the College’s best efforts to mitigate the impact, the imposition of this tax is beyond our control and we are required to implement it to comply with regulations, while maintaining the quality and integrity of our examinations.

We remain committed to ensuring that the MRCOG continues to be internationally recognised as the gold standard qualification in obstetrics and gynaecology, providing the highest quality of service and support to our candidates. Thank you for your understanding.
