The Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood’s Case for Change report - Prioritising early childhood for a happier, healthier society

24 May 2024

Dr Ranee Thakar, RCOG President, welcomes the new report from The Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood published this week.

“The RCOG welcomes this report from the Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood, which explores the importance and the value of investing in the perinatal period and early parenthood, from pregnancy to five.
“Improving the support that working parents, caregivers and families receive during this vital period is a fundamental part of supporting the health and wellbeing of the next generation. This report identifies the significant potential for the business community to play an active role in this.
“The College encourages business leaders to read the report and make use the great resources on the Royal Foundation website, to identify and implement actions that will support their teams. We will also be exploring what we can take forward to support our staff.”
“The RCOG thanks our Royal Patron, The Princess of Wales, for continuing to bring such important focus and attention to improving children’s health and wellbeing.”
