Introduction of the new appointment process for RCOG Liaison Group (LG) Chairs
A new process for appointing LG Chairs has been introduced in 2025:
- RCOG LG Chairs will be appointed through a formal, open and transparent recruitment process and in line with the College Volunteer Management Policy.
- The College will advertise the RCOG LG Chair position/s directly to all active Fellows and Members resident in the UK via email and on the RCOG website.
- The application will include completion of an application form which includes a declaration of interests, a supporting statement and a CV. The application needs to be submitted by the agreed deadline within three weeks of the opening advertisement.
- Applicants will be shortlisted based on an assessment of their skills and expertise against the person specification. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview with the Chief Executive and the Senior Vice President for Global Health.
- An induction meeting will be arranged to support the onboarding and include information on the RCOG strategy, College policies and processes.
- There will be regular meetings with the aligned International Representative Committee Chair/s.
- The term of appointment is three years.

UK members will be contacted via email once Chair roles for specific countries are open.
Applicants should complete the online application form below, upload a brief CV of no more than two sides of A4 and provide a supporting statement online below.
