Workforce Board

Meeting dates

The Workforce Board reports to Council.

Oversee the development and implementation of the RCOG workforce plan for the profession, ensuring alignment with the RCOG Strategy and engagement with external stakeholders (eg HEE, NHSE) and devolved nations.
Support and develop the professional needs and experience of the membership at all stages of their careers.
Support the communication of the College’s work and resources available to support the profession and make this more visible to the membership outside of the UK.
Provide a forum for the debate of all issues relating to the O&G workforce and making recommendations for future RCOG work.
Provide and/or signpost career guidance to Fellows and Members through liaison with professional communities (e.g. SAS and LED).
Oversee the annual RCOG workforce plan and report to Council on progress against this and any associated KPIs.
Advise on the prioritisation of programmes of work in light of key drivers such as NHS mandate deliverables or service demand.
