Vice President for Clinical Quality
Geeta Kumar has been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist since 2003 and is currently the Clinical Lead for Women’s Services at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, the largest health board in Wales.
She has been a Visiting Professor at Glyndwr University, Wrexham since 2019. Geeta was appointed the Clinical Lead for Gynaecology Planning Board for Wales in 2021. She has been the Associate Medical Director for Quality and Safety at Wrexham Maelor Hospital from 2018-2022.
In recognition for her excellence in medical leadership, the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management awarded Senior Fellowship to Geeta in 2021.
Her roles at the College include being a member of College Council, Chair of the Consent Group and Patient Information Committee, member of Clinical Quality Board, Guidelines Committee, Equivalence Committee, MRCOG examiner and College tutor.
Geeta is passionate about patient safety and an advocate for women’s empowerment in healthcare provision.
