The RCOG is seeking to support two UK based trainees to travel to South Korea and present at the 28th Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AOFOG) Congress in May 2024 in South Korea.
The theme of the event is ‘A Quantum Leap for Women’s Health in Asia Oceania.’ You can view programme details here.
We would like to invite UK based trainees to submit a short essay (500 words max.) on the theme of:
Transforming women's health through technology
Your essay will be reviewed by RCOG Officers and Council Representatives against the criteria set out below. Two trainees will be selected and invited to represent the RCOG at this event.
Award: £2,000 each for two UK based trainees, to contribute to travel and expenses. The hosts AOFOG will kindly cover accommodation, registration, airport transfers and social programmes for both the Community Fellowship Programme and the AOFOG Congress.
When:
- Sunday 12 to Thursday 16 May 2024, Community Fellowship Programme in Seoul, South Korea
- Thursday 16 to Monday 20 May 2024, AOFOG Congress in Busan, South Korea
You will be invited to learn about the Korean healthcare system and culture, discuss medical education and meet trainees from across the AOFOG network before travelling on to the main event the AOFOG Congress 2024.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this award you must be a current UK based trainee and hold a National Training Number. You must have your MRCOG and should be no more than 5 years post-MRCOG.
