Our patient leaflets provide information on a wide range of issues and life events.

These resources are based on up-to-date guidance for doctors, but are written in a way which is easy for everyone to understand.

Find the support you need in the resources below.

Keeping information up-to-date

The information provided in our leaflets is developed by the RCOG’s Patient Information Committee, made up of obstetricians and gynaecologists, midwives, and members of the RCOG Women’s Network.

All patient information leaflets are reviewed every three years, or before that time if clinical guidance on which they are based changes. You can read more on the development process here.

Patient information for consultation

A vital part of developing patient information is asking the people for whom the information is designed – patients and the public – what they think.
